Sydney Carlson

Sydney began her dance journey at the age of five in Calgary, where she trained as a versatile performer in tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop, contemporary, jazz funk, and more. Her early foundation in multiple styles laid the groundwork for a dynamic career both on stage and on screen.
After relocating to Vancouver, Sydney embraced new opportunities in the commercial and film industry, performing with companies such as The Smoke Show and The Darlings Cabaret. Her on-screen credits include appearances in Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, Motherland, and the BBC's The Greatest Dancer.
Sydney’s career has taken her around the globe, from performing in China with North Star Performing Arts Management to dancing aboard Royal Caribbean cruises. Her time living and working in London was especially transformative, collaborating with acclaimed groups like Untitled Contemporary Dance, Company Jinks, and House of Jazz, all of which helped refine her artistry and deepen her connection to dance.
Passionate about mentorship and education, Sydney has taught at studios including Harbour Dance Centre (Vancouver), BASE Dance Studios (London), and Pineapple Dance Studios(London). She has also co-directed Honey Dance Company and set choreography for intensives and training programs like ITP and Source.
Sydney brings her extensive experience, vibrant energy, and love for storytelling into every class. She is passionate about inspiring the next generation of dancers to explore their creativity, build strong foundations, and find their own unique voice through movement.
