Mieko Isaac

HIP HOP

Mieko Isaac (She/Her) is a dancer, choreographer, and educator from Spruce Grove, Alberta, now based in Vancouver, BC. She trained in a variety of styles including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and musical theatre before finding her passion in hip hop, further developing her craft with Kore Dance Studio, NXG Company with Alexander Chung, and Eyecandy Company. Since moving to Vancouver, she has continued her training at numerous studios across the city, joined Twofourseven Company, completed the Overryde training program, and was a dancer and creative in Cycle 1 of Quill Collective under Carlo Atienza.


Her performance credits include Team Canada Hip Hop (2017), World of Dance Las Vegas and Arizona, Monsters of Hip Hop, Flip the Switch LA, Body Rock, VIBE, Quill Collective, and TwoFourSeven Company, where she currently serves as Assistant Director. As a choreographer, she has led TwoFourSeven Company to the semi-finals of Canada's Got Talent and showcased work on international stages such as VIBE and Ultimate Brawl.


Mieko also works in film and the commercial dance industry, bringing experience both in front of and behind the camera. As a represented artist with Premier Talent Agency, her credits include Assistant Choreographer and dancer for the award-winning film Revenge of the Black Widow by Helen Dang and Team Red Pro, dancer in the feature film Rags 2 Richmond directed by Joe Tuliao, and choreographer and dancer for The Box by TwoFourSeven Company. She currently teaches a weekly Intermediate/Advanced Choreography drop-in class at A3 District and is passionate about sharing her love of dance through performance, choreography, and teaching.
