Lauren Roszko

HIP HOP | JAZZ | CONTEMPORARY

Lauren Roszko is a passionate and dedicated dance educator originally from Whitecourt, Alberta. Her journey began with hip hop and quickly expanded to include ballet, modern, tap, jazz, contemporary, and more. She trained at Edmonton School of Ballet and Vimy Ridge Academy, where she built a strong technical foundation and gained valuable experience teaching, choreographing, and assisting in classes.

After graduating from Vimy Ridge, Lauren joined Vancouver’s Source Dance Company under the direction of Joanne Pesusich, where she trained with top choreographers from across North America and Europe. She deepened her understanding of street styles—including hip hop, litefeet, popping, locking, and breaking—through her work with Natasha Gorrie’s Higher Ground and Chris Bonus’s Overryde, honing both freestyle and foundational skills.

Lauren is currently the director of TwoFourSeven Company, a competitive team known for its dynamic creativity and strong community. Under her leadership, the team reached the semi-finals on Canada’s Got Talent and performed at major events such as VIBE and Ultimate Brawl in California. She is also a head assistant for IDO Team Canada West, contributing to both the junior and adult teams taking 1st place at the World Championships.

With over seven years of teaching experience across British Columbia, Lauren brings a unique approach that blends fun and discipline, with a focus on foundational training, musicality, and confidence. She teaches students aged 5–17.

Some of her recent highlights include:

  • Choreographing a solo that placed 1st at Nationals in Ontario

  • Performing with the Vancouver Whitecaps

  • Guest teaching in New Brunswick at Danse Chaos Dance

  • Leading multiple competitive teams to award-winning seasons across BC

Lauren teaches because she’s passionate about inspiring the next generation and empowering dancers of all body types and backgrounds to believe in themselves and pursue their goals. She fosters an environment where growth, creativity, and community thrive—on and off the stage.
