Rina Clark was born in Japan and moved to Vancouver, Canada at the age of six. She trained at the Goh Ballet Academy, Danzmode Productions, and Modus Operandi. In 2008, she won the Modern title at the IDO World Jazz Dance Championships and Modern Cups, held in Oslo, Norway. Upon graduating from high school, Rina was accepted to Point Park University on scholarship, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. During her time at Point Park, she trained under mentors Jason McDole, Doug Bentz, Kiesha Lalama, Judith Leifer-Bentz, and Garfield Lemonius, to name a few. She had the honor of performing works by choreographers Terence Marling, Randy Duncan, Alejandro Cerrudo, Martha Graham, Kevin Iega Jeff, Doug Bentz, and Garfield Lemonius, among others. Rina also had the opportunity to perform at the Joyce Theater in New York on two different occasions with Point Park University’s Conservatory Dance Company. As well, she was a part of Alyson Laury Dance Company in New York City.
