Raised in the lower mainland, Maddie always had an intense love for the arts. She has trained in Ballet (RAD), Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary, and Musical Theatre at the Caulfield School of Dance in Port Moody. Maddie has studied classical and contemporary voice under Dr. Gina Oh, and now continues her training in contemporary voice with Peter Jorgensen.
Through her dance, theatre, and vocal training, Maddie discovered her passion for teaching. This led to choreographing for Musical Theatre groups and solos at Caulfield, as well as choreographing jazz, ballet, and lyrical numbers at her Secondary School.
After graduating, Maddie received a certificate in acting from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, UK. Following her return home, she took a contract with Disney Cruise Line as a Vocalist, Dancer, and Actor. Following this contract, Maddie choreographed Gleneagle Secondary’s production of Legally Blonde, her first full musical production. Spending time at Gleneagle Secondary made her realize how truly fulfilling it was to work with and lead her own students.
Maddie first came to teach at Dance Co in September 2020, and after returning from a recent contract at the Shanghai Disney Resort, she is ecstatic to be back again!
