Training Levels
Dance Co offers three levels of training: Recreational, Competitive, and Company.
Recreational

These are once a week classes that focus on instilling a love of dance and a joy for movement. Ballet is strongly recommended along with a second discipline. Students interested in studying either Hip Hop or Breakdance are strongly recommended to take both classes, in order to receive a well rounded and thorough grounding in all aspects of this style. We also offer combination classes for Pre-Primary and Primary students at the recreational level. In these combo classes, two disciplines of dance will be studied in the same class. Please see the class schedule for combo class options. All Fall and Winter students at this level will perform in the year end recital June 4th - 6th, 2010. Dance Co accepts registrations at this level three times per year. Classes beginning in September run through until May of the following year, classes beginning in January run through until May and classes beginning in July run through until August. During September registration there are two different registration options for the Pre-Primary and Adult classes only. Students in these classes may choose to register for the full year (Sept - May) or for one term only (Sept - Dec).
Accelerated / Advanced Recreational

These classes are designed for dancers with a minimum of 1-3 years of training. Students will work towards their performance at the year end recital June 4th - 6th, 2010. Students at this level are strongly recommended to study ballet in addition to their other disciplines.
