Summer Programs - Recreational
Dance Co offers an intensive, professional and fun summer dance program. During the summer term we offer classes in Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary, Tap, Hip Hop, Acro, Yoga and Breakdance.Dance Co offers both weekly summer classes and summer camps that consist of an intensive week-long workshop. Class schedules will be available late in the spring.

Weekly Summer Classes
Summer term will begin in July 6th and run until August 25th. Classes have been scheduled on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, for a total of 8 classes for the summer term.*Weekly summer classes are aimed towards beginning and recreational dancers. Please refer to our Summer Schedules (by age group) for weekly classes.
Summer Day Camps
Dance Co's summer camps are a great way to introduce dancers to different dance disciplines. Summer camps are available to all beginner, intermediate and advanced level dancers. Schedules for summer camps will be available in late spring.New students wishing to dance at Competitive or Company levels in Fall 2010 should participate in one of the summer camps for assessment and placement.
Camp Information
During the summer camps, students will be given lunch and snack breaks. Please send young dancers with a drink and snack/lunch. (Pre-Primary and Primary dancers will be supervised in the studio during their lunch breaks.) Older students are welcome to bring their own lunch (we have a microwave), or they can purchase lunch in the mall. (Students will not be supervised in the mall).On the last day of every camp, dancers will give a special performance of all dance routines they have learned. Be sure to come see it, it's always fun!!
Dance Co Uniform
Students are not required to wear the standard Dance Co uniform during the summer classes and camps. However, students must have ALL PROPER UNIFORM ATTIRE FOR CLASSES IN THE FALL. We do encourage all students to wear appropriate dance clothing and they must have the appropriate shoes for varying disciplines, as it allows the instructors to observe posture and placement easily.STREET CLOTHES ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE!
Ballet students: body suit, tights, and ballet shoes. Hair should be pulled back in a bun or pony tail.
Tap students: dancewear and tap shoes. Hair pulled back.
Jazz / Acro students: dancewear and jazz/ballet shoes. Hair pulled back.
Hip Hop / Breakdance students: comfortable workout wear and clean, non-marking athletic shoes.
