Dress Code
DANCE CO DRESS CODE POLICY
Dance Co has set a standard dress code policy and it is mandatory for all our dancers to wear the prescribed Dance Co uniform to ALL classes. Below is a detailed listing of the Dance Co uniform requirements for each discipline of dance. Uniforms for adults are optional, however prescribed shoes are required. All required items (shoes, uniforms, tights, hair kits) are available for purchase at Dance Etc., our on-location dance shop. If you have any questions, please contact Dance Etc. at 604-731-1362 for assistance.Proper dance attire is a basic necessity to all dancers, as it allows instructors to observe posture and proper body placement more easily. All clothing that is worn in class must allow the instructor to clearly view the dancer's body alignment. Ill fitting uniforms and shoes will need to be replaced.
For all classes, hair must be pulled off the face and neck. Hair must be in a bun for ballet and a ponytail for all other classes. Bangs must be pulled off the face with a headband.
BALLET
Uniform:
Well fitting DANCE CO Bodysuit & Ballet Pink Sansha TightsCompany / Intensive / Competitive ~ Dance Co exam bodysuit is required for ballet exams.
Preschool ~ Dance Co pink Bodysuit with Skirt.
Pre-Primary, Primary, Junior Recreational & Competitive ~ are required to wear the Dance Co Practice Skirt.
Intermediate & Senior Recreational & Competitive ~ have the option to wear the Dance Co Practice Skirt.
